Using sticky notes and simple supplies, create colourful spinning pinwheels. This craft combines creativity with basic movement principles, making it fun and educational for toddlers.

Materials Needed
- Sticky notes (various colours for a rainbow effect)
- Scissors
- Brad fastener
- Small piece of cardboard (to support the pin)
- Pencil with an eraser or craft stick
- Glue
Step 1: Fold the Sticky Note
Fold a sticky note diagonally to create an X pattern with crease lines. Open the sticky note to reveal the folds, and lightly mark the centre point with a pencil.
Step 2: Mark Cutting Lines
Measure one inch along each fold line starting from the edges of the sticky note. Mark these points to serve as stopping guides for your cuts.
Step 3: Cut the Sticky Note
Carefully cut along each fold line from the edges toward the marked points. Do not cut beyond the marks; this will create the pinwheel sections.
Step 4: Fold the Corners
Fold one corner of each cut section towards the centre point of the sticky note. Repeat for all four corners, overlapping them slightly in the centre.
Step 5: Secure the Pinwheel
Place a small bead between the folded sticky note sections and the centre point. To secure the pinwheel, insert a push pin through the bead, the centre of the sticky note, and a small piece of cardboard.
Step 6: Attach the Pinwheel to a Base
Push the pin through the eraser of a pencil or attach it to a craft stick. Ensure the pin is loose enough to allow the pinwheel to spin freely but secure enough to hold the structure together.
Step 7: Add Glue for Stability
Apply a dab of glue to the folded corners at the centre of the pinwheel for extra stability. Let it dry completely before use.
Step 8: Spin and Play
Hold the pencil or craft stick and blow gently on the pinwheel to make it spin. Watch as the vibrant colours create a magical rainbow effect in motion.
