This bubble wrap rainbow print craft offers toddlers a fun and mess-free way to explore colours and textures.
The popping action spreads the paint, creating a unique and vibrant rainbow while helping develop fine motor skills.

Materials Needed
- Bubble wrap
- Cardstock or thick paper
- Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple paint
- Tape
- Scissors
Step 1: Prepare the Bubble Wrap Envelope
Cut a piece of bubble wrap large enough to fold over the cardstock. Secure the sides with tape, leaving one side open to create a pocket for the paper.
Step 2: Apply the Paint
Place the cardstock on a flat surface. Squeeze small arcs of paint in rainbow order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple) across the paper.
Step 3: Insert the Paper into the Bubble Wrap
Carefully slide the painted cardstock into the bubble wrap pocket. Seal the open edge with tape to keep the paint contained.
Step 4: Pop and Spread the Paint
Let the toddler press, squeeze, and pop the bubbles to spread the paint underneath. Please encourage them to explore how different pressures change the effect.
Step 5: Reveal the Rainbow Print
Once the paint has spread evenly, carefully peel away the bubble wrap to reveal the textured rainbow print. Allow it to dry before displaying the artwork on a wall, fridge, or bulletin board.
