Sticker-based crafts provide toddlers with a fun and mess-free way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
This simple rainbow activity encourages creativity, fine motor skill development, and colour recognition while keeping things clean and easy.

Materials Needed
- Construction paper or cardstock
- Colourful rainbow stickers
- Black marker or crayon
- Cotton wool (optional)
- Glittery shamrock stickers (optional)
- Glue (optional)
Step 1: Draw the Rainbow Outline
Use a black marker or crayon to draw a simple rainbow outline on construction paper. Create curved lines to guide where the stickers should go.
Step 2: Place the Stickers Along the Lines
Let toddlers place colourful stickers along each curved line, following the rainbow order—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. This step helps reinforce colour recognition and hand-eye coordination.
Step 3: Add Cotton Wool Clouds
For a textured effect, glue small pieces of cotton wool at both ends of the rainbow to create fluffy clouds. This adds dimension and a fun sensory element.
Step 4: Decorate with Shamrocks or Glitter
Enhance the craft by placing glittery shamrock stickers around the rainbow. If using glitter, lightly apply glue to select areas and sprinkle the glitter for extra sparkle.
Step 5: Display or Create a Collaborative Piece
Once complete, display the artwork on a wall, fridge, or bulletin board. For a group activity, create a large paper rainbow in which multiple children add stickers, fostering creativity and social interaction.
