Creating a charming sock bunny is an enjoyable and straightforward craft, perfect for little hands during Easter.
This activity requires minimal materials and no sewing, making it ideal for young children.

Materials Needed
- A clean sock
- Stuffing material (such as rice, cotton, or pillow stuffing)
- Small rubber bands or string
- Googly eyes
- A small pom-pom for the nose
- Felt or fabric scraps for whiskers
- Ribbon for decoration
- Glue (hot glue or fabric glue)
- Scissors
Step 1: Fill the Sock
- Begin by filling the sock with your chosen stuffing material. If using rice, a funnel can aid in pouring. Fill the sock until you achieve a plump, rounded shape, leaving enough space at the top to form the ears.
Step 2: Form the Bunny’s Body and Head
- Once the sock is filled to your satisfaction, use a small rubber band or string to tie off the top, securing the stuffing inside.
- To create the head and body sections, place another rubber band or tie around the sock approximately one-third of the way down from the top, forming a smaller section (the head) above a larger section (the body).
Step 3: Create the Ears
- With the remaining unfilled portion of the sock above the head, use scissors to cut down the middle, creating two flaps.
- Trim these flaps into elongated ear shapes, rounding the edges as desired.
Step 4: Add Facial Features
- Attach googly eyes to the head area using glue.
- Glue the small pom-pom onto the face to serve as the nose.
- Cut thin strips of felt or fabric to create whiskers and glue them near the nose.
Step 5: Final Touches
- Tie a ribbon around the neck (the area between the head and body) to add a decorative touch.
- Ensure all glued parts are securely attached and allow the glue to dry completely before handling the bunny.
